History

Brickwork India was founded by Vivek Kulkarni, the former IT Secretary Government of Karnataka-Bangalore. Vivek was heading the government office that was responsible for attracting high technology, bio technology, and healthcare companies to the state. This created a mini revolution in many cities in Karnataka. For instance Bangalore creates over 200,000 jobs and 12 million new office sq. ft. spaces every year. Vivek took an early retirement from that position and started his own company – B2K Corp.

B2K was a technical support center formed out of acquisition of a division of Talisma a large CRM company funded by Oak Ventures. Under Vivek’s stewardship the company added 400 people in two years. B2K’s customers included Microsoft, Yahoo, Real Networks, and other prestigious firms.

Brickwork was a division of B2K and is now a separate company with worldwide operations. The company has hundreds of clients both small and large companies from all over the world. Brickwork started with 5 REAs and has grown to 200 full–time remote executive assistants, analysts and managers. In addition, the company has a large panel of consultants who work on the more challenging industry–specific projects.

In early 2008, Brickwork got a license from SEBI (Stock Exchange Board of India) as a credit rating agency under our new company, Brickwork Ratings. We are the 5th credit rating company in India that is licensed by SEBI.
